Professor Brad Nelson at the Institue of Robotics and Intelligent Systems operates an Octomag - an instrument whose eight electromagnetic coils permit maneuvering micro-robots through the eye to deliver drugs to the retina.

Overcoming Disciplinary Boundaries

The directorate of the Society in Science fellowship is supported by the ETH Zurich strategy committee. This committee consists of prominent international scholars from a wide array of disciplines. 

The strategy committee gives recommendations in the selection, monitoring and review of both applicants and fellows.
